Calling all book lovers! Whether you’re a devoted reader or just looking for a fun way to unwind, the South Eveleigh Book Club Social is the perfect excuse to grab a drink, meet new people, and chat about this month’s must-read.
In collaboration with Pia and Eva from To Be Read (@tobereadbookclub), our monthly book club social is a relaxed, welcoming space where you can share your thoughts, discover new perspectives, and enjoy a night out at BrewDog South Eveleigh.See below book schedule for 2026:

Pickleball Court
Game on: Pickleball is back at South Eveleigh with a free play court and instructor led lessons!
South Eveleigh is serving up something fit, fun, and social this summer! From 6 January to 1 February 2026, Innovation Plaza will transform into a Pickleball hub, the perfect way to get active, have fun, and try something new.
What’s On:
Beginner Lessons: Instructor-led sessions designed to help you learn the basics.
Times: Wednesdays from 3:30pm – 7:30pm and Saturdays from 7:30am – 12:30pm
Cost: $10 per person, maximum 4 players per session. *Session length: 45 minutes
Skill level: Beginners welcome, suitable for adults or children aged 5+

Free Play Sessions: Outside of lesson times, courts are open for self-facilitated play. Available on a first-come, first-served basis - just bring your energy and enjoy!
Date & Times: Courts open daily from 6 Jan – 1 Feb 2026 | 7.30am to 7.30pm
Location: South Eveleigh, Innovation Plaza (near BrewDog)
Whether you’re looking to try something new, sharpen your skills, or simply have fun with friends, this is your chance to get involved.
*Bookings are essential. Spaces are limited to 4 people per session. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or for late or non-attendance. Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, in such cases, participants will be offered an alternative time or a refund. Participants of paid lessons 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their session. The supervising adult does not need to book a lesson, unless they wish to also join the coaching session.

How It Works
Read Along – Each month, we’ll announce our Book of the Month on our website and socials (on the 1st!). Simply borrow or purchase a copy and start reading.
Join the Conversation – At the end of the month, we’ll host a Book Club Social at BrewDog South Eveleigh, where Pia and Eva will guide the discussion. Come solo or with friends—everyone’s welcome! We’ll even have conversation starters on the tables, so if you’re coming alone, breaking the ice will be a breeze.
Book Club Social Details – This ticketed event is just $15, including a free drink on arrival and nibbles. We’ll also be giving away lucky door prizes, like copies of next month’s book and $100 South Eveleigh gift cards. Practice your kickflips and ollies at our Skate and Scooter Park . This dynamic space is perfect for skaters and scooter enthusiasts of all skill levels, offering ramps and rails to challenge and excite.

Getting to South Eveleigh
Conveniently located just minutes away from Redfern Station, South Eveleigh is easily accessible via public transport. If you’re driving, enjoy 2 hours of free parking at our 2 Central Avenue car park every day with a validation at one of our participating retailers. On weekends, take advantage of 2 hours of free parking with no validation required, and free evening parking every day if you enter after 6 pm.

Award-Winning Locomotive Workshop
The Locomotive Workshop at South Eveleigh has won two awards in 2023, including a Best Heritage Development Award and an INDE. Award.
The historic site has been awarded Best Heritage Development at the 2023 Property Council of Australia Innovation & Excellence Awards. The award recognises the revitalisation of the iconic Locomotive Workshop to reveal and celebrate the heritage of the site, delivering a unique new workplace, culture and heritage hub for Sydney. With the design philosophy focused upon creating a great urban experience, the Locomotive Workshops will become a new destination, making a positive contribution to Sydney and its rich heritage.
The Locomotive Workshop has also won the ‘Work Space’ category of the 2023 INDE. Award, which celebrates exceptional innovation and creativity within architecture and design across Indo Pacific. The workspaces within Locomotive Workshop pay homage to the building's heritage by skillfully blending its historical elements with contemporary design. The interior has been thoughtfully reconfigured to make the most of its original features, providing a modern and collaborative workspace suitable for a diverse range of high-tech tenants and users.

Getting to South Eveleigh
South Eveleigh sits on the fringe of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from Redfern Station. It is just over 2km from Central Station, 5km south of the Central Sydney CBD and 8km north of Sydney Airport. It is also within easy walking distance of Sydney University and UTS Sydney.
There are direct bus links from Sydney CBD and Marrickville Metro which stop on Henderson Road in front of South Eveleigh.
Cycling to South Eveleigh is easy with bike racks located throughout Innovation Plaza, in front of all buildings right down to the skate park.
The public carpark is available at 2 Central Avenue, Eveleigh.
